Rooms

A room is used to preview any number photos or layouts to scale in a photo of the actual room. For example, if your client wants to order something for above the couch in their living room, you can use a room to figure out the sizes or layouts that best fit in that spot.

There are several built-in rooms included in Studio Pro, which include different areas of a house and color schemes. You can also easily add your own custom rooms from an existing photo or take one directly in Studio Pro. Once calibrated these will show any photo or layout added at actual scale.

The room editor will show a 16x20 or A2 preview depending on the units you have selected.

Adding a Room

Tape a piece of US Letter or A4 paper to the wall. Begin by tapping the green + button near the top right of the Rooms editing panel or the + button at the top of the add room display popup.

  1. Use the iPad's camera to take a photo of the room or tap the button in the top right to choose an existing photo. The level and lines will help you capture the capture the photo better.
  1. Resize the virtual piece of paper to match the size of the one taped to the wall. Double-tap on it to toggle between US Letter and A4.
  1. Tap Add to finish up and name the room template.

Editing a Room

Make sure you're in the Rooms editing panel.

  1. Tap on the room in the strip at the top.
  2. Tap on the left button on the lower right bar. This toggles between preview mode and scale editing mode.
  3. Resize the virtual paper as needed and tap the button again to finish.

Deleting a Room

Make sure you're in the Rooms editing panel.

  1. Tap on the non-built-in room in the strip at the top.
  2. Tap on the trash button on the lower right bar and confirm.
