Products

Products are the individual sizes and items offered for sale. These can include virtually any type of item, including specifically sized items (e.g., a 16x20), fixed items (e.g., a disc of all photos), or non-tangible items (e.g., a session fee or shipping). All price list entries are made up of a product combined with a finishing type and a price.

The configuration options for a product include the following:

Option Description
Product Name The name of the product. This is shown for the product in anywhere the product is listed, including the ordering panel, the price list, and the receipt.
Enabled Whether or not the product is enabled. A disabled product will no longer be shown in any ordering panel or price list.
Category The ordering panel groups products by their category. An example category breakdown for a newborn photo studio could include Prints, Digital Files, Announcements, and Sessions.
SKU An optional SKU for the product. This can be used for any purpose such as inventory tracking or matching to the supplier's SKU.
Description A long description for the product. This can be used to describe the product and is also editable on the receipt to add any additional notes needed to fulfill the order (e.g., cut at corners to fit antique frame).
Sized Item Whether or not the product is a specifically sized item. If this is enabled and a valid size is entered, the size is displayed as a preset option when assigning a size to a photo.
Width The width of the item. The units for this measurement depend on whether you've selected imperial (inches) or metric (centimeters).
Height The height of the item. The units for this measurement depend on whether you've selected imperial (inches) or metric (centimeters).
Display Name An optional display name for the size (e.g., wallets). This is displayed instead of the size on the size preset.
