Collections

Collections define a grouping of products that can all be ordered for a single price. There are a couple standard ways that photography studios have built collections and Studio Pro supports them both. Some have a fixed set of products that can be ordered for the collection price while others use a "unit" system where any combination of products up to the allowed number of units can be ordered. Both can coexist in the same collection.

You can have any number of collections, which can be organized by category. Collections are added to a price list just like products and layouts are, which allows for different pricing depending on the type of session (e.g., a disk of all images for a wedding will probably have a different price than for a newborn session).

Each collection item is composed of a product or layout and a finishing. For unit-based collections you also set the unit value for the item.

A collection can have any number of items and will provide those as choices within the ordering panel. Some examples for items might be:

  • 20x30 - Print
  • 20x30 - Gallery Wrap (1.5")
  • CD - Digital Images
